Happy Volunteer Appreciation Month! Irish Fest is often referred to as a "family of families," meaning our volunteer family is made up of individual families, and this month we are highlighting the Brennan Family!
Tell us about yourselves! Who are you?
We are Pat and Ann Brennan, plus our kids, their significant others, and now our grandkids (!!!) - we are the Coordinators for the Main Gate, two of our children are our Key Volunteers, and our son John is the Point of Sale Coordinator

How long have you been volunteering?
Since May 1983

How did you get involved with volunteering at Irish Fest?
Pat used to work at a bank with John Maher, the Grounds Office co-coordinator
What are some of your favorite memories volunteering?
Volunteering at Irish Fest is a beloved annual tradition for our family. Getting engaged on the Miller Stage has to rank as first, walking miles and miles while cash running for the bank, Pat serving on the board for ten years, building camaraderie with fellow volunteers on golf carts, at meetings, in pouring rain and stifling heat - we've seen it all! Our kids are now very involved as well, and August means one thing - Irish Fest!

What motivates you to continue volunteering?
Irish Fest is like a family to us. We are so proud to be a part of such a notable festival.

How do you think volunteering has enriched your life personally?
We've worked with so many quality people that dedicate themselves to putting on an excellent festival. They are truly inspirational. And we've enjoyed some of the best laughs of our life with Irish Fest friends.
